Becoming Debt Free and Improving Life

Become financially savvy

There are a lot of times in which people spend a lot more than needed on various different products. On a daily basis ask yourself if you really need something. On top of this ask yourself whether or not what you are purchasing has a cheaper alternative, weight out the pros and the cons. This system can be used for easy things such as “Which pasta to purchase” or slightly more complicated issues like “Which contractor to select to build my backyard pool?” Learn how to utilize discount sites such as eBay, Amazon, and Overstock.com. A penny saved is a penny earned. The more money you have the more you can spend on having fun and doing things you want to do.

Increase Credit Score

This doesn’t directly appear as way to become debt free but can completely work as a way in which someone could earn money. The higher your credit score is the better loans and credit cards you qualify more. Many will say “Well how would this help me?” Loan repayment plans include interest, if you were to have a significantly lower interest rate that would mean that the loan would have a lower overhead cost. This also works for credit cards, the higher your credit score the nicer card you will be approved for. The better the credit card the lower the monthly interest rate is, meaning that if you do unfortunately have to carry a balance the interest charged on it will be less if you were to qualify for a lesser card. Also anther great benefit of this is on many of the nicer credit cards they come with benefits such as free flight companions, free airport lounges, upgraded travel accommodations, hotel rooms. American Express also is known to have a somewhat free personal assistant who will book reservations and find hard to find items for you, it’s a very basic program but it is a nice touch. Almost all harder to qualify credit cards also include a points system, where a certain amount of dollars equals a certain amount of points which can be redeemed for money, gift certificates and in many cases random products such as electronics, jewelry and plane tickets. This gives you more money even if you need to rely on credit cards of loans which essentially provide more money to spend on things you want to do.
